Ikea Cherry Hill Offers Room Design and Product Pickup

The new IKEA location at the Ellisburg Shopping Center in Cherry Hill is a newer concept for the retailer… a much smaller space focused on bringing their room design professionals to South Jersey.

And while there are no products available to take home with you the same day, the Cherry Hill Ikea can also function as a pick-up location for orders placed online or with the design team… saving you the trip across the bridge (to the South Philadelphia location).

If you are unfamiliar with IKEA, they are a Swedish based retailer known for their massive stores (such as in South Philadelphia) which has customers following a preset maze-like path through all of the departments on the two level building. It’s as much a fun destination thing to do, as it is a shopping trip.

Ikea offers the full array of products for home, and they are famous for their flat-packed furniture which makes for smaller packaging and easier transport.

Ikea Cherry Hill

With massive stores supporting a large metro area, the company is looking to create smaller satellite locations such as in Cherry Hill… focused on room design (and related ordering)

This new South Jersey location is named the “IKEA Cherry Hill Plan & order point with Pick-up”, and it opened Wednesday June 18th.

Situated close to Whole Foods on Route 70, Ikea Cherry Hill is located between the Trek bicycle store and Five Below… in a unit which recently was an AT&T store.

This is a much different experience than what you are familiar with in visiting the South Philadelphia location… consider that the Cherry Hill unit is about 2,000 square feet whereas South Philadelphia is over 300,000.

Yes the Cherry Hill Ikea is less than 1% the size of the IKEA South Philadelphia full store.

But that’s really all the space that is needed in Cherry Hill as the new IKEA location’s core purpose is to bring the trained IKEA room designers to South Jersey… where they use the IKEA design software and integrated product catalog to help you create your new kitchen, bathroom, closet space and more.

While there is no product in the Cherry Hill IKEA store to purchase and bring home immediately, they have constructed a few kitchen and closet displays within the space as well as samples of all the wood, surfaces and cabinet styles available.

Customers looking to use the Ikea design services can schedule a time for a planning session directly from the Cherry Hill location page. The appointment is a free 90-minute session and can also be done virtually!

Ikea does also offer measuring services where they come to your home to get the final measurements. That in-home feature may be at an additional cost. Check with the Ikea team.
